
Marissa has been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years with experience in operations, revenue management & sales in branded, franchised and independent hotel environments. She has worked for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Library Hotel Collection, Hersha Hospitality Management, Chambers Hotel, Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International.

About Me
Marissa began her hospitality career in front desk operations at boutique hotels in Manhattan and branded hotels in Taipei, Taiwan before pursuing her Master's Degree in Hospitality Industry Studies at NYU. Upon completing her Master’s Degree at NYU, Marissa was Sales Manager at a luxury independent hotel in Midtown Manhattan and developed new international business at the hotel. From there, she pre-opened the tallest hotel in America, a 639-room dual branded Marriott hotel complex managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts. In 2014, Marissa joined Marriott International as Senior Account Executive in the International & Travel Industry Sales segment representing over 100 Marriott branded hotels in the Northeast Region including New York City. She is responsible for driving group business from 7 countries in Asia including China into her region and has accounted for over $4 million in group revenue annually.
Marissa is fluent in 4 languages and holds her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY and her Master's Degree in Hospitality Industry Studies from NYU's Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. Marissa is the recipient of the 2017 HSMAI Sales Executive of the Year Award for the Greater New York Chapter. The the fall 2017 semester, Marissa co-taught a graduate course in Hotel Sales at NYU's Jonathan M. Tisch Center as an adjunct instructor.
